Consistency is the key to providing quality janitorial services. We gear our services to meet each individual customer’s needs by establishing expected specifications and developing a list of what has to be cleaned on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. This checklist provides a guideline for our staff and generates the inspection list for supervisors and management to use during inspections.

SanServe Janitorial visits every single customer on a regular basis to inspect the level of our cleaning. These unexpected, random inspections allow us to observe our cleaning services on any given day to ensure that absolutely nothing slips through the cracks! Our inspections are customized to your specifications, assuring that we are fulfilling our obligations and satisfying our customer’s needs.

It is our belief that it is important to measure quality often to assure the consistently high level of service that SanServe Janitorial provides.  These are our standards of inspections:

  • Daily inspections (depending on the number of days you have service) by the “lead” that is assigned to your account. 
  • Reoccurring inspections by the full-time Area Supervisor.  These usually take place during and after the cleaning process.  We check in with our customers either verbally or through the communications log that is provided to every customer.  Written inspections are conducted once per month with evaluations.
  • Weekly walk-through inspections from the Area Manager that is over your account.  The Area Manager will do a thorough walk-through and will touch base with the customers to discuss any issues or concerns at that moment, taking immediate corrective actions.

Frequently scheduled floor care is so important for maintaining a clean environment for your customers and employees.  Floor scrubbing and buffing, as well as strip and wax refinishing can be done by Sanserve Janitorial’s highly trained floor technicians.  Here are a few tips to keep your vinyl floors lasting in between your scheduled floor maintenance. 

Always sweep or dust mop your floors, this should be done daily.

Place floor mats inside of every entrance to your building. This will help capture dirt off of everyone’s shoes as they enter the building.

You should only use cold water to mop vinyl floors and never use hot water. Use a mild floor cleaner and follow the manufacturer's recommended directions. Once the mop water becomes too, dump out your mop bucket and refill it with fresh water and cleaner. Also, change your mops regularly and would recommend using cotton or cotton/rayon blend mop heads.

Avoid using any of the following cleaners on a waxed floor, as these cleaners will dull floors over time.

  • Pine-sol
  • Ammonia
  •  Bleach
  • Powerful cleaner/degreasers
  • Solvents or any other strong cleaners

I was reading an article on, written by Jenna Goudreau, and she made a statement that caught my attention,

“According to a survey of over 1000 workers by staffing firm Adecco, a majority of Americans (57 percent) admit they judge coworkers by how clean or dirty they keep their workspaces. Meanwhile, nearly half say they have been ‘appalled’ by how messy a colleague’s office is, and most chalk it up to laziness.”

I certainly never want to be labeled as “lazy” by my coworkers, but I truly believe that being organized improves your performance, which will set you up for success. So if enhancing your productivity isn’t enough to motivate you to keep your workspace tidy, perhaps not wanting to “appall” your coworkers will give you the push!

Here are a few tips of my tips on how to get rid of the clutter and chaos:

  • Go Green. Do we really need to print out all those unnecessary reports and old agendas? By scaling back on printing, or printing double-sided when you need a hard copy, you’ll reduce those stacks of paper that only end up piled up on your desk. Plus the trees will thank you!
  • Make time. Allow yourself a couple minutes at the end of the day to dispose of food containers, wrappers, coffee cups, and any other trash. Then go through the files and paperwork that are still sitting on your desk and sort them, file them, and put them where they need to go. No more “oh, I’ll take care of it tomorrow.”  Make sure you take all personal items home.
  • Maintain. Once you've de-cluttered and deep cleaned your space, you’ll have an easier time keeping up with it, but I guarantee that it will get messy and cluttered again. In order to keep your office tidy, you should create some sort of daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance plan, and it shouldn’t stop with just your space. If you have common areas on your office (kitchen, conference room, etc.) it would be a good idea get all of your colleagues to help maintain the cleanliness of those spaces.

Following these tips will make it easier for your janitors to vacuum and dust your office or workspace.  You just might be surprised how these simple steps can totally change your production rate within your office, and you might even inspire your coworkers to tackle their own clutter!

Sanserve Janitorial is seeking dependable, hard-working individuals needed to supervise and conduct floor care maintenance and janitorial cleaning. The floor technician duties include carpet extraction, stripping, waxing and buffing. Experience in operating carpet extractors, waxers, buffers, and scrubbers preferred.  Janitorial duties as assigned such as mopping, sweeping, dusting, cleaning, etc. The ability to motivate a team and a positive “can do” attitude is essential.

We are looking for individuals that are in the New Orleans are which include Gramercy, Saint Rose, Norco, Meraux, Belle Chasse, Kenner, Metairie, Chalmette, Westwego, Chalmette, Slidell, Gretna and Marrero.  We are looking for full/part-time, overnight and early morning hours, exact hours to be determined by supervisor.  TWIC and OSHA a plus.
